Job description
Role: Bigdata Admin
Clearance: Active TS or CBP clearance must.
Location: Sterling, VA (currently all remote. Occasional visits to Sterling, VA)
Rate : $50/hr on W2
Installing, configuring, and upgrading Apache Kafka
Installing, configuring, and upgrading ElasticSearch ECE
Supporing Big Data ecosystem services including, but not limited to AWS: EC2, S3, EMR HBase, EMR Spark Clusters, Redshift, Kafka, and Docker.
Creating Distaster Recovery environments
Performing data migrations
Experience providing access and controlling resource utilization in a shared cluster environment.
Experience troubleshooting failed cluster jobs.
Experience coordinating with Vendors (ElasticSearch, AWS) to troubleshoot issues.
Experience setting up and managing cluster monitoring and alerting capabilities.
Experience developing Unix shell scripting.
Experience developing Ansible scripts.
Experience with Git/BitBucket source management is desirable.
Experience working in Agile and Kan Ban development and support environments.
Experience using and/or migrating to a Cloud platform is desireable.
BS Degree and 5-15 years of experience administering Uni
