Here’s the opportunity:

Reporting to the Communications and Content Manager, the Bilingual Social Media Content Specialist is a content creator and social media pro who knows how to build and engage an audience across Futurpreneur’s social channels. From writing engaging copy and creating compelling visuals (photo/video) to managing and optimizing organic and paid content, this role is for someone ready to flex their full social media skill set.

As the one responsible for managing Futurpreneur’s national social media presence, you understand and shape how young entrepreneurs across Canada see and engage with our brand, turning trends into content that captures attention and drives engagement. You have strong writing skills, with a sharp eye for design and brand consistency, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while creating engaging content.

You will help develop and execute social media plans that strengthen Futurpreneur’s digital presence, grow awareness of our programs and impact, and amplify our partners in ways that align with our brand and commitment. You will also build an engaged community of entrepreneurs and mentors by creating story-driven content that elevates the voices of young entrepreneurs across Canada.

This existing role is a full-time, permanent role based in Toronto, ON. The incumbent will work on a hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 2 days in-office per week.

What you will do:

Social media management (60%)

Co-create and implement an annual social media plan that strengthens Futurpreneur’s position as the go-to organization for supporting diverse, young entrepreneurs across Canada
Produce, publish and promote content across all social media platforms, mapping out the content strategy and timeline, and ensuring consistency in tone & voice across all platforms
Collaboratively develop engaging social media content in English and French, including video and visual assets
Use Canva to create social media graphics that adhere to branding guidelines and appeal to our target audience.
Work with the Communications and Content Manager to monitor trends and test new ideas and approaches, to improve performance and drive engagement
Act as the social media subject matter expert for the organization, training staff members across the organization on social media best practices, providing them with guidelines and sample social media messaging when applicable
Work with the Communications and Content Manager to build and execute a TikTok strategy
Contribute to and deliver regular analytics reports including reach, engagement and key learnings, for in-house and partner initiatives
Collaborate with partners and the Marketing and Communications team to create social media assets for all partner-related marketing campaigns, developing strategies and content to ensure maximum reach and impact and fulfill partnership agreements, while providing regular measurement reports
Use Sprout Social to schedule, monitor and analyze Futurpreneur’s social content across all channels
Manage ManyChat to engage with Futurpreneur’s audience and deliver timely, relevant resources
Develop and execute engaging social media campaigns that drive brand awareness and community engagement in special events (e.g., National Mentoring Month, Small Business Month, Global Entrepreneurship Week, etc.)
Liaise with regional teams to support marketing and promotions of regional events through paid and organic social media
Provide or coordinate on-the-ground social media coverage during key organizational events and initiatives, capturing and editing photo/video content for posting on national channels in real time
Social media engagement (40%)

Work with the Communications and Content Manager, members of the Marketing and Communications team, and program and regional leads to identify opportunities to connect with different community groups across social media
Work with the Communications and Content Manager to proactively identify ways to engage with Futurpreneur’s distinct stakeholders and audiences via our social media channels
Tailor content to reach target audiences on each social media channel, adjusting as necessary to fit each medium; look for ways to refresh and publish evergreen content that aligns with the editorial calendar
Collaborate with the Communications and Content Manager and other members of the Marketing and Communications team, to source and develop engaging entrepreneur and mentor stories, as well as content related to corporate and partner campaigns and resource material for entrepreneurs
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications, Business Development, and Partnerships teams to develop, plan and deliver creative content for targeted marketing campaigns
Address, flag and respond to questions and queries received on Futurpreneur’s social media channels, escalating to appropriate teams and team members when necessary
What you will bring:

Relevant experience may include education with a focus on communications, social media, digital marketing or equivalent hands-on career experience
4-5 years of relevant social media, communications and digital marketing experience
Strong writing skills in English and French, with solid knowledge of Canadian Press (CP) style
Extensive, proven experience building an engaged following for an organization on the following platforms: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
Experience with paid-advertising platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager as well as Reddit and other social platforms is a strong asset
Previous experience managing multiple, competing projects and managing a large-scale, multi-channel social media presence for a national brand
Proficiency with Sprout Social (or similar platforms), Canva and CapCut Pro
Proven ability to develop and execute organic social media campaigns; experience executing paid social media ads is a strong asset
Proven project/time management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use a tool like Monday.com or similar to manage work
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to multiple queries, handling multiple channels and managing multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
Knowledge of digital marketing, search engine optimization, social media, paid advertising, traditional advertising, communications
Bilingualism in French & English (spoken & written) is required as you will work daily with non-bilingual team members and/or clients across Canada
