This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our growing team! This role involves ensuring that static billboards are properly maintained and fully operational, allowing advertisements to be displayed clearly and effectively. The Billboard Operator plays a vital role in managing the visual impact of outdoor advertising.
Key Responsibilities
Install and set up static of advertisements on billboards.
Ensuring proper safety protocols are followed, especially when working at heights.
Replacing outdated ads with new ones, ensuring proper alignment and installation.
Ensuring that outdoor billboards are properly protected from weather conditions, especially when it comes to printed ads that could be damaged by rain or wind.
Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure billboards are in good working condition.
Ensure that static billboards are properly cleaned and free from damage, such as tearing or fading.
Work with the operational / management team to ensure that the right content is displayed at the right time.
Follow all safety protocols when working at heights or operating machinery to install or maintain billboards.
Adhere to local laws and regulations regarding outdoor advertising and billboard installation.
Operating large equipment (such as lifts, cranes, and scaffolding) to install posters or digital displays.
Coordinate with third-party contractors for billboard installations, when necessary.
Ensure timely removal of expired or outdated advertisements from billboards.
Key Requirements
Previous experience in outdoor advertising, billboard operations, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with billboard technology is an advantage.
Ability to handle physical tasks such as installing or maintaining billboard structures.
Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols, particularly for working at heights.
Strong attention to detail to ensure ads are correctly displayed and maintained.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with teams.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to accommodate advertising schedules and maintenance needs.
Ability to lift and handle materials and equipment necessary for billboard maintenance.
Working Conditions
Work will primarily take place outdoors and at elevated heights, requiring the use of ladders, scaffolding, or mechanical lifts.
The role may involve working in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures or rainy conditions.
Physical labor is a significant part of the job, including lifting, standing, and climbing.
