Billing Team Lead | Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our billing team to success. In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight, ensuring the team excels in their billing tasks while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service. You will oversee the billing process, support team growth, and make important day-to-day decisions to balance cash flow with our core values.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Lehi office, with flexibility to work from home based on team performance. In-office availability is required Monday through Friday, from + AM to 5 PM. You will report directly to the Revenue Cycle Manager.
Responsibilities
• Guide the billing team in submitting clean claims, minimizing write-offs, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Set clear, achievable targets for the team with a supportive approach.
• Fully onboard and train new team members.
• Develop and maintain training tools and resources for the billing team.
• Mentor billers in troubleshooting and resolving issues effectively.
• Promote a team mindset focused on achieving shared goals.
• Conduct semi-annual performance reviews and provide immediate, constructive feedback with kindness.
• Collaborate weekly with the Revenue Cycle Manager and other leaders.
• Lead productive team meetings that address results, improvement areas, and skill development.
• Identify, research, and resolve system issues by working directly with payors and software.
• Perform regular audits of billing reports to highlight successes and areas for improvement.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payment reports to identify trends, address issues, and implement resolutions.
• Stay informed about insurance coverage and assist the team with patient eligibility reviews.
• Learn and adapt to new payor requirements and processes as needed.
• Assist in the review of accounts receivable, adjustments, and payment postings during month-end close preparation.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
