To succeed in this role you must have previous work and/or university experience in computational design. We are looking for someone passionate about tall building design, and willing to push the boundaries and challenge the norm to deliver exceptional solutions for clients and society as a whole.
You will join our High Rise UK department
As our new BIM technician, you will be part of a highly dynamic team. Our High Rise team has a deep focus on holistic design and a highly digital and visual approach. You will be an important part of a close-knit team working on a wide variety of project work with signature architects in the UK and internationally. We have a supporting and collaborative culture and enjoy what we do! Your key responsibilities will be:
• Work on 2D drawings and 3D models for a range of projects and support other members of the drafting team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for draughting work in a given project.
• Technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings and documents.
• Exercise self-discipline and work ethics.
• Respect and follow company policies and procedures.
• Contribute towards developing our in-house computational BIM tools and workflows and employing them on projects.
• Be able to work using your own initiative.
• Undertake and present designs in a highly visual style.
• Demonstrate great attention to detail and show pride in the work produced.
• Manage time on projects to suit deadlines and complete your assigned tasks as stipulated by the Ramboll project manager.
Your starting point for constant growth

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with minimum 4-8 years of professional experience.
• Experience in preparing general arrangement and reinforcement detailing drawings. Experience in precast structures will be an advantage.
• Must have experience on international projects
• To have a deep interest in and/or experience using digital and parametric design tools. We seek engineers that fit with our culture and have experience working digitally.
• Experience in Revit and Dynamo and/or another form of coding is essential, e.g. Rhino/Grasshopper
• The right candidate will have a portfolio which demonstrates creative thinking, flair and skills, illustrating the ability to produce complex engineering drawings and manage complex geometries.
• Able to present engineering drawings to a high standard.
• Excellent spoken and written English, and the ability to work with other professionals in design workshops.
