Job Description
The Business Intelligence Unit is a high profile team with a mandate to drive data based decisions within the bank. Reporting in to Head Banking Operations and Transformation, this department works with all businesses of the bank including retail, small business and corporate to drive analytics. In terms of functions, the department has teams focused on all aspects of analytics for the bank including risk analytics, financial crime analytics, business and marketing analytics, building predictive scores, data engineering and business reporting.
About the Role:
The Business Analyst is a part of the Analytics team primarily focusing on Banking products & services. The Analytics team is responsible for the end to end strategy, design/development and performance synthesis of all lending products for the bank.

Overview of Corporate Analytics team:
Corporate Analytics within Business Intelligence Unit at Axis Bank works with the senior management to drive key strategic initiatives across Corporate Banking space. The key imperatives are to track business performance, identify opportunity areas, and come up with desired strategies/solutions in areas of acquisition & portfolio management
Responsibilities:
Working and supporting SME Business vertical
Translate business needs into analytical problems, and work with business SPOCs to deliver data-driven actionable recommendations and frameworks
Analysing the entire life cycle of portfolio and identify key levers of growth. Identify areas of improvement and drive campaigns that result in reduced credit risk and overall better portfolio health
Collaborating with national/regional teams to understand the current trends in the industry, opportunities available in various product offerings and come up with strategies to increase the penetration
Work closely with both business teams and IT to see through end-to-end implementation of the product/model
Present insightful weekly and monthly business review presentations that summarizes business and financial performance of the group
Skills required:
Education: MBA or Master in Economic from Premier institute or Engineer from IIT/NIT
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience in SME Business or Financial service industry would be preferred
Comfortable in dealing with large datasets with hands on experience with data analysis tools (SAS EG, SQL, Python, etc) and expertise in MS Excel
Having expertise in visualization tool SAS Viya or Power Bi is a pluss
