Job Description

JOB TITLE: BM Solutions - Telephone Business Development Manager

SALARY: The salary banding is £39,825 - £44,250

LOCATION: Newport or Birmingham

HOURS: 35 hours, full time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this opportunity

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join the UK's largest Buy-to-Let mortgage lender, BM Solutions, in our Intermediaries Business Development team in Tredegar Park, Newport/Cardiff or Colmore Row, Birmingham. Develop your skills, build on existing expertise and gain valuable knowledge in a vital sector of the UK mortgage market.

Intermediaries is a fast-paced, exhilarating environment where we set ourselves high standards to deliver excellence across the market. Our diverse business receives industry acclaim and recognition for its standout performance and support of the mortgage & housing market.

As a Telephone Business Development Manager, you'll be joining our dynamic business development team supporting the BM Solutions brand. In addition, you'll be working in partnership with one or more of geographically aligned Business Development Managers, supporting a portfolio of brokers with all their buy-to-let mortgage needs and queries.

You'll gain from exposure and experience to a full range of brokers and intermediary products with the aim that this role becomes an effective training ground for future Business Development Manager roles in BM Solutions or across our wider brand portfolio.

What will I be doing?

Provide dedicated support to one or more Business Development Manager areas; you’ll pro-actively manage the day to day management of a designated portfolio of broker relationships, building and strengthening strong external relationships across a defined geographical patch through various comms channels e.g. telephone, Teams and email – tailoring your approach to the customers need and preference.

Work closely with the geographically aligned Business Development Manager to find opportunities in the existing portfolio and in the wider market. Through pro-active and robust interactions, you’ll develop business leads and introductions, as appropriate, in order to develop and maximise business opportunities for increased income and growth for BM Solutions.

It's vital you're able to understand how to utilise management information to develop purposeful business relationships and grow market share.

You’ll collaborate with the wider Telephone Business Development team in BM Solutions and across our other brands to share standard processes, successes and maintain a culture of ongoing development and personal growth.

Keeping track of risks within the intermediary mortgage market is key too, so that you can educate intermediaries in how to identify & overcome existing and emerging risks.

Excellent organisational skills and effective personal time management are crucial for this role.
