Are you an experienced coordinator or secretariat professional looking to apply your skills in a role with real purpose and impact?

As the Board and Statutory Support Officer, you'll be a key member of the Regional Operations Taupo team. You'll provide high-quality statutory support, administrative services and project coordination to Conservation Boards, Reserve Management Boards, Strategic Advisory Committee's and the wider regional team.

This role supports DOC's kaupapa of delivering strong conservation outcomes, grounded in our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You'll be motivated, detail-focused and driven to deliver consistently high-quality work, while being inspired by our shared purpose and values.

Some travel within the region is required, with occasional overnight stays.

The position will be focussed on:

Providing administrative, secretariat and project coordination support, including coordination of Official Information Act, Ministerial and Parliamentary requests, document management, word processing, and administrative support for public notification processes
Delivering personal assistance to Manager, Board & Committee Chairs, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, drafting correspondence, arranging travel, and supporting financial processes.
Supporting communications activities such as newsletters, surveys, presentations, website content and reports.
Co-ordination and monitoring of the regions regulatory and permissions processes including task delegation and reporting.


You'll work collaboratively with multiple teams and external partners, building strong, positive relationships with iwi partners and community groups while creating opportunities for professional growth and development.

An understanding of government processes, ideally with experience or knowledge of DOC systems and ways of working.
