About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Builder / Shipwright to join our production team, supporting new projects and the development of larger motor yachts. This hands-on role involves close collaboration with team leaders and participation on the factory floor to deliver world-class boats under the Grand Banks, Eastbay, and Palm Beach Motor Yachts brands.
This position begins with an immersive onboarding phase, working directly with existing project leaders to gain a deep understanding of our systems, processes and build standards
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the construction team on the floor to execute boatbuilding projects (hands-on involvement)
Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams and managers to achieve positive outcomes.
What we prefer:
Trade-certified Boat Builder or Shipwright with experience in composite construction
Demonstrated project management skills within boatbuilding environment
Strong leadership and clear communication skills
Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Language Skills: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is a plus
Experience & Attributed:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the high-end motor or sailing yacht industry
Expertise in composite construction, particularly vacuum infusion using E-glass and carbon fiber
Broad experience in interior and exterior fit out, yacht systems, and boat handling is a plus
Hands-on boating experience is advantageous
Working Conditions:
Full-time position, working 5 days a week from 7 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be willing to relocate to Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
