Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, and maintaining up-to-date financial information. Proficiency in Sage 50 accounts is essential for this role. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial part in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles.

Process accounts payable and manage invoices efficiently.

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow regularly.

Prepare financial reports to assist management in decision-making.

Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits as required.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data is maintained.

Utilise accounting software (Sage 50 accounts) for data entry and reporting tasks.

Manage and maintain credit control. Ensuring customer accounts are kept up to date

Respond to any queries related to financial transactions or discrepancies.

Experience

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role is preferred.

Relevant qualifications

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software (sage 50 accounts)

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
