Job Description
Ø Record financial transactions using accounting software and ensure accuracy across all financial entries.
Ø Uphold data integrity in financial databases and supporting documents.
Ø Monitor daily and monthly cash flow, supporting forecasting activities and liquidity management.
Ø Administer and maintain records related to lines of credit and financing arrangements.
Ø Assist in preparing cash flow projections, operational budgets, and cost analyses.
Ø Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and internal financial reports using account books, ledgers, and software tools.
Ø Provide financial insights to assist with operational and strategic decisions.
Ø Issue invoices for product sales and installations; ensure timely and accurate billing.
Ø Process purchase orders in accordance with procurement and financial procedures.
Ø Reconcile bank deposits and match them with daily sales and expenses.
Ø Perform monthly bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
Ø Investigate and resolve inconsistencies in financial records and report anomalies to management.
Ø Support tax reporting obligations, including accurate calculation and reporting of GST.
Ø Ensure compliance with applicable New Zealand tax laws and financial regulations.
Candidate Requirements
A diploma ( level 5 above) or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
If no formal qualification is held, a minimum of two years’ relevant work experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or financial administration is required.
Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Strong numerical reasoning, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Foundational knowledge of New Zealand tax legislation, especially in relation to GST compliance.
You are required to work 40 hours per week
