Bookkeeper
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and performing bank reconciliations. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization by providing timely and accurate reports.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and managing the general ledger.
Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Conduct account reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is required.
Strong understanding of bank reconciliation processes and account reconciliation techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Knowledge of accounts payable processes is preferred.
A degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus but not mandatory.
