Enough about us, what’s the role?

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our accounts team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with month-end reporting. This is a critical role supporting both the Senior Accountant and Senior Leadership Team with timely and accurate financial data.

What's involved?  

Maintain accurate records of day-to-day financial transactions

Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses

Reconcile bank accounts

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions

Assist with payroll processing and HMRC submissions

Support month-end and year-end close processes

Produce financial reports as requested by the Senior Accountant

Ensure compliance with VAT and other statutory requirements

Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required

Contribute to the improvement of finance processes and systems

What are we looking for? 

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)

Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and UK VAT rules

Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Strong organisational and communication skills

AAT or ACCA/CIMA qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience

Details:    

Base salary: competitive, dependent on experience - £28,000-£32,000 per year

Working pattern: 09:00 – 18:00, 5 days per week, Monday – Friday

20 days annual leave + 8 national bank holidays + 1 additional day off for your birthday
