Bookkeeper
4 Hearts Homes Ltd is seeking a bookkeeper to join the team to ensure smooth financial operation of the company.
Description of the role:
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments
Maintain accounts payable and receivable using manual and computerized systems
Prepare invoices, purchase orders and bank deposits
Process payroll, subcontractor payments, and maintain relevant tax records for GST, PAYE, and other tax obligations
Track and allocate costs to specific construction projects
Assist the Accounting Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring for multiple projects
Reconcile bank statements and company credit cards; verify transactions and report discrepancies to the Accouting Manager
Preparation of monthly and year-end financial reports, bugget reports and cost analyses
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding billing and financial documentation
Ensure compliance with local accouting standards, construction contracts, and regulatory requirements
We prefer the candidates who have:
A relevant Level 4 or higher qualification is preferable OR at least two years of relevant working experience
Experience in the construction industry is an advantage but not essential
Strong communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
What we can offer you:
Competitive pay range: $30-$35 per hour based on skill and experience
Working location: Auckland
Guaranteed minimum working hours: 30 hours per week
Stable full-time permanent role
