Full job description

Bookkeeper / Debt Control Officer (Permanent, Subcontractor)

We are a small bookkeeping business looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Debt Control Officer to join us on a permanent subcontractor basis.

Work Setup:

Onsite (Penrith office): ~4 hours weekly, preferably Fridays

Remote: 1–2 hours weekly, ideally Tuesdays (flexible)

Additional remote work available — up to 10 hours per week if desired

Main Duties:

General bookkeeping (payment allocations, AP/AR, bank reconciliation)

Debt control (emails and calls to corporate clients - all managers are polite and responsive)

Requirements:

Must be able to attend our Penrith office weekly by your own car (approx. 4 hours, preferably on Fridays)

Strong English communication skills, confident with telephone calls

Willingness to learn accounting software Jiwa (experience not required)

Proficient in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation

Skilled Excel user

Excellent attention to detail

Responsible, reliable, flexible

Positive, enthusiastic “can-do” attitude
