IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Branch Credit Manager to join our Retail Banking team in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. As a Branch Credit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the credit operations of our Micro Business Loans portfolio within the Retail Underwriting department.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate creditworthiness of loan applicants and make informed decisions on loan approvals
• Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment to ensure loan applications meet bank's credit policies and guidelines
• Monitor and manage the credit portfolio to ensure timely repayments and minimize delinquency rates
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient loan processing and disbursement
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies
• Train and mentor junior credit officers to improve their skills and knowledge
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit operations within the banking industry
• Strong understanding of credit analysis and risk assessment techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Knowledge of local market and industry trends in Rajkot, Gujarat, India is preferred
• Prior experience in managing Micro Business Loans portfolio is a plus
