Job description
Job Title: VP of Bank Partnerships
Location: Mumbai or Bangalore
We are hiring on behalf of our client, a promising fintech that enables consumer apps to seamlessly offer financial products to their users. As a key player in the financial ecosystem, the company is at the forefront of revolutionizing how consumers access financial services by working with banking partners to provide the infrastructure for these offerings.
Role Overview: The VP of Bank Partnerships will be responsible for establishing and managing critical relationships with banks, ensuring that they become the core partners in powering our client’s financial products. The individual will be instrumental in driving collaboration between the fintech and banking institutions, identifying and onboarding banks as the underlying service providers for consumer-focused financial solutions. This is a senior-level role that requires deep expertise in banking, fintech, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Execute Bank Partnership Strategy: Create a comprehensive strategy to identify, engage, and establish partnerships with leading banks that align with the fintech's mission.
• Build Strong Banking Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact with partner banks, fostering strong relationships with C-suite executives and decision-makers in target banks.
• Negotiate Complex Deals: Lead complex negotiations to secure banking partnerships, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including product, legal, and compliance, to ensure smooth integration of banking services into the fintech’s offerings.
• Market Intelligence: Stay up to date on the latest trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape within the banking and fintech sectors to advise on strategy.
• Drive Innovation: Work with partner banks to co-create innovative financial products that align with the needs of both the fintech's consumer app clients and the banks.
Key Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in banking or fintech, with a strong focus on building strategic partnerships and business development.
• Proven track record of working with senior executives in banks to establish and grow long-term partnerships.
• Deep understanding of banking operations, regulatory frameworks, and the fintech ecosystem.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex deals and relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple priorities.

Branch Manager is responsible for overall management of the branch and for achieving excellence across service, sales and operational functions in the branch. He/She is also responsible for achievement of business targets.
• Responsible for Branch P & L – revenue & cost.
• Managing a Profit Centre - with profitability being the key result area through acquisition of net worth accounts, enhancing NII income, transaction fees, generating revenue from third party products
• Adherence to compliance to all regulatory and auditory requirements.
• Concentrated focus on all product lines and products offered by the bank
• Increasing the value proposition of the bank with high net worth clientele
• Implementing the best practices in the industry to enhance the customer base
• Ensure Customer Value chain is made stronger and wider
• Increase employee value proposition for the teams
• Driving and achieving challenging targets set by the bank consistently
• Manage entire gamut of business in line with growing organizational needs
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Candidates currently working as BM / DBM are eligible to apply
• Applicant should have a vintage of at least 2 years in the Bank
• Good exposure and knowledge of full suite of products offered by Consumer Bank (CASA, FD, Insurance, Investments).
• Good degree of familiarity with Branch Operations/processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
