Job Context & Major Challenges
What are the specific aspects of the job that provide a challenge to the jobholder in the context of the Department/Zone?Context:
In our business the Branch manager needs to be in constant touch with his dealers to monitor the business brokerage / number of customer called / traded / NCA / customer service /other Admin issue / Progress on TPP products / Any other management initiative / recruitment in the branches / Hand holding the team / aligning the team with the Bank/ Product training / Helping-Guiding the team for all the certification needed to sell any other product time to time. Apart from that he needs to even be in touch with the local bank team for reference of new accounts. Most of this is time sensitive as it Is linked to the market timings.
Challenge:
Hiring and retaining qualified resources in branches, especially those in remote locations.
Administrative challenges to ensure that relevant documents for the customers are collected to open accounts. (In remote locations the customers often do not have complete documents as per process and regulation)
Retaining of customers in competitive markets.
Ensure Compliance while serving the customers.
Dynamic market conditions.
Principal Accountabilities

Monitor brokerage of the branch/dealer.

Identify certified candidates suitable for hiring.
Coordinate with recruitment team for speedy on boarding.
Handholding the team for better performance.
Align team members with the process and norms of the company.
Counseling & motivating the team members.
Conduct team meetings to understand their work experience and offer resolution.
Customer Service
Activation/Managing of the customer in the branch.
Resolving customer concerns.
Ensuring customer satisfaction across all levels.
Update top customers of all branches of event/market movements.
Coordinating with research team for advice/review of portfolio for top customers on regular basis.
Relationship Management
Conduct joint visits to customers and HDFC Bank branch with the Relationship Managers for maintaining and building the relationship.
Maintaining relations with Cluster Heads from HDFC Bank.
Coordinate with product/retail team for support.
Coordinating with the local bank branch for customer references
Overall Smooth functioning of the branch
Ensuring proper infrastructure/IT in the branch.
Ensuring adherence of company norms, processes and regulations.
Ensuring coordination and cordiality between each member/department of the branch.
Ensure branch is well maintained and clean.
Ensure connectivity in the branch.
Database Management Maintain all records as per guidelines
Maintain records of all mapped customers portfolio.
Maintain records of all branch visits/ customer visits.
Team management & People Development
Manage a team of Relationship Managers.
Grooming employees to take up larger roles.
Conduct regular and refresher training of all products for the team.
Adhere to Compliance norms
Ensuring all systems are working fine and as per compliance (CLIP/ VRS/ Jamoon)
Ensure strict adherence of risk & compliance norms.
Conduct random VRS checks.
