BeyondAutism is a non-profit organisation, driving change in the world of autism education to ensure autistic children and young adults access an education which empowers a life full of choice, independence and opportunity.

We do this by creating positive educational experiences, training for the professional team around a child, and information, resources and support for families and carers.

Our Services

We deliver rapid and sustained outcomes in our Early

Years’ service by working with parents and children

together. Empowering parents to feel resilient and confident

in meeting the needs of their child leads to aspirational,

informed choices creating a positive and successful step

into primary education.

Our two schools and 2 Post-19 services have a specialist

curriculum that ensures sustained success beyond the age

of 25, setting children and young adults up with the skills

and independence to lead a life of their choosing.

By teaching them the academic and life skills they need

and through the promotion of a happy, caring environment,

we nurture the confidence, independence and self-belief to

enable them to make the most of the next stage of their life

or education.

We also work more widely, activating networks and building

local capacity with our solution focused Outreach team. Our

unique BeyondAutism Fast Responder® service works at

the point of crisis to change the national picture and reduce

school placement breakdown.

Job Overview

The Brand, Communications, and Events Manager leads:

• Organisation-wide brand strategy and guardianship

• External and internal communications planning and execution

• Major stakeholder and public-facing events

The postholder ensures all messaging is consistent, inclusive, and impactful, working across departments to champion our mission and strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities

Brand Management

Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all services, materials and platforms

Develop and implement regular brand audits to ensure visual and messaging assets are up to date and inline with brand standards

Support colleagues across the charity with brand implementation and training

Strategic Communications

Lead the development of communications plans aligned with strategic priorities

Write and oversee delivery of press releases, impact stories, policy responses, building BeyondAutism’s position as a thought leader

Ensure consistent tone of voice and alignment with our values and language guidance

Manage media relationships and respond to enquiries, including reputation-sensitive scenarios

Internal Communications

Build, deliver, and maintain an up-to-date internal communications plan, ensuring visibility and engagement across the organisation

Produce structured updates for staff, Trustees, Governors and Advisory Board

Work alongside CEO and SMT to deliver weekly communications, including briefings and voice notes

Oversee internal platforms and support cross-departmental messaging

Events Strategy and Delivery

Manage the full external events calendar, overseeing logistics for existing events (exhibitions, conferences, community engagements, etc.) while also proactively identifying new opportunities, including speaking slots

Partner with the Outreach and Therapies teams to identify relevant speaking topics, supporting them in shaping presentations that can be pitched to exhibitions and conferences

Collaborate with teams across the organisation to plan and deliver internal events, including fundraising

initiatives, staff events, and parent-focused activities. Measure success using engagement data andfeedback loops

Collaboration & Campaign Planning

Work closely with Digital and Content Manager and Outreach and Revenue Marketing Manager on campaign alignment

Provide strategic messaging input to other departments, including Fundraising, Outreach, and Education Services

Monitoring & Impact

Track and report on communication KPIs and engagement metrics

Provide monthly reporting to the Head of MarComms and SMT

Contribute to the planning and development of the Annual Impact Report

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £38,541.00-£41,286.00 per year
