Position Summary
The Brand Design Lead is the custodian of R.M.Williams’ graphic visual identity across all touchpoints. From campaigns and OOH, to digital channels, retail communication and packaging, you will define, protect and evolve the brand’s visual DNA.
A hands‑on designer with strong conceptual thinking, you’ll balance craft, creativity and executional excellence. You will lead two Brand Designers, collaborate deeply with creative, marketing and digital teams, and bring cohesive, premium design to every customer experience.
This role is perfect for a detail‑obsessed designer with leadership capability and a genuine passion for brand systems, typography, composition and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Identity & Brand Expression
Own and evolve the brand’s graphic visual language across print, digital and spatial design.
Define and maintain brand design systems, templates and guidelines.
Develop seasonal layout, typography and imagery frameworks that support campaigns and storytelling.
Partner with the Head of Creative to translate brand positioning into compelling visual narratives.
Work closely with Customer Insights and Social teams to create digital‑first assets for paid and organic content.
Campaign Design & Execution
Lead design development for seasonal and hero campaigns from ideation to rollout.
Oversee creation of OOH artwork, lookbooks, digital ads, and press materials.
Ensure design, storytelling and execution are aligned across channels in partnership with the Content Producer.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor two Brand Designers, providing guidance across layout, craft and creative decision‑making.
Partner with the Brand Environment Lead to translate campaign visuals into retail spaces.
Collaborate with Social + Motion Creative to ensure consistency across motion and social content.
Work cross‑functionally with Marketing, E‑Commerce and Retail to align creative outputs with brand and commercial objectives.
Use insights across brand, customer behaviour and digital performance to optimise creative assets
Quality Control & Delivery
Oversee all design output, ensuring excellence in craft and adherence to brand standards.
Manage timelines, file setup and final artwork delivery across print and digital.
Maintain organised, scalable design systems and archives for future use.
Experience / Technical Requirements
Skills & Experience
6+ years’ experience in brand or campaign design within fashion, lifestyle or creative agencies.
Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma.
Experience in art direction and production across campaigns, lookbooks and OOH.
Familiarity with motion or digital asset production workflows is a plus.
