Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in safeguarding our bank by ensuring compliance with BSA, AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act regulations. As a vital member of our organization, you will work under the guidance of the BSA Risk Manager and be responsible for executing internal controls testing and monitoring programs that uphold our high standards of risk assessment.
What Will You Do?
• Conduct thorough compliance monitoring, internal controls risk assessments, and testing programs to create a robust BSA control environment, focusing on areas with elevated risk.
• Act as a consultant to various business units to develop and enhance their risk self-assessment programs.
• Perform scheduled and periodic testing of business processes and controls to identify compliance gaps and potential risks.
• Analyze compliance risks and recommend necessary policy and process changes to maintain effective controls.
• Collaborate in developing or updating bank-wide policies and procedures related to BSA, AML, OFAC, and the USA PATRIOT Act.
• Partner with business units to resolve compliance findings from internal audits and regulatory examinations.
• Manage daily activities efficiently, prioritizing tasks and resolving issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as bank policies.
• Communicate and escalate identified operational concerns to the appropriate management levels.
• Maintain accurate logs for outstanding issues related to audits, examinations, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve shared goals.
• Stay updated on bank policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to bank-wide projects.
• Provide quality customer service and operational support to internal and external customers.
• Apply technical and general business knowledge to tackle complex issues in your assigned function.
• Engage in testing of components within the Financial Crimes Compliance Monitoring Program and Annual Test Plan.
• Review self-assurance activities conducted by the First Line of Defense.
• Evaluate controls for design and effectiveness based on established policies.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with BSA regulations including KYC, EDD, financial crime investigations, and regulatory reporting.
• At least 3 years of experience in a BSA-specific role at a financial institution.
• Current Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) Certification.
Additional Qualifications
• Familiarity with banking operations, regulatory requirements, and accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Solid knowledge of federal Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
• Preferred experience in BSA Testing or audit with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels.
• Experience with Tableau and AML Monitoring Systems such as Actimize is a plus.

Compensation
Starting base salary: $55,000-$95,000; actual compensation based on skills, experience, and location. Bonus and/or commissions may apply.
