Role & responsibilities
Keep the Plant Running Smoothly
• Oversee all maintenance activities for the Boiler, Turbine, and Generator from preventive and predictive maintenance to major overhauls.
• Plan and execute annual shutdowns with precision to minimize downtime.
• Use data and condition-monitoring tools to catch problems early and keep reliability high.
• Investigate equipment failures, find the root causes, and make sure they dont happen again.
Lead Engineering & Design Improvements
• Work with the Engineering Design team on plant upgrades, retrofits, and efficiency improvement projects.
• Review and approve designs, drawings, and modification plans for BTG systems.
• Bring practical, field-tested insights into every design or project discussion.
Drive Projects & Upgrades
• Lead BTG-related projects from budgeting and planning to execution and commissioning.
• Coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors, and consultants to deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.
• Make sure every project improves plant performance, reliability, or safety.
Lead People & Build Capability
• Lead a strong team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Foster a culture of safety, learning, and accountability.
• Coach and mentor team members share your technical know-how and leadership experience.
• Work closely with other departments Operations, Electrical, C&I, and Safety for smooth plant performance.
Preferred candidate profile
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 16+ years in mechanical maintenance of large thermal power plant
