Fixed-Term position - 35 hours per week

Participation in 9-day fortnight scheme

About the role

Council has an opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented Building Asset Specialist to join our Strategic Asset Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and maintenance of our Council's building assets.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

Asset Management

Developing and implementing comprehensive asset management plans for all Council-owned buildings

Conducting regular inspections and assessments to monitor the condition of assets

Maintaining up-to-date records of building assets, including condition reports, maintenance histories, and valuations

Capital Projects

Developing asset capital works programs for Council-owned buildings

Assisting in planning and executing capital improvement projects

Compliance and Safety

Ensuring all building assets comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

Implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards

Stakeholder Engagement

Liaising with internal departments, community groups, and external contractors

Providing expert advice on asset management to Council members and senior management

Facilitating community consultations and feedback sessions regarding building assets

Qualifications

Qualifications in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience in building asset management or facilities management.

Strong understanding of asset management principles and practices.

Excellent project management and organisational skills.

Proficiency in asset management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

What’s on offer

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $110,649 to $127,246 plus super.

This is a 10 to12-month term contract. Final dates will be confirmed with the candidate at the time of engagement.
