Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Building Automation Systems (BAS) Design Engineer to join our growing team in Houston TX. This role focuses on the design and engineering of smart building solutions, supporting commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop Building Automation System (BAS) layouts and control schematics
• Create detailed system drawings using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio
• Develop sequences of operation and system documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure design accuracy
• Interpret project specifications, mechanical drawings, and electrical diagrams
• Support integration of HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems
• Assist with project coordination from design through installation and commissioning
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in BAS/BMS system design
• Strong proficiency in: AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Revit MEP
• Familiarity with several BAS platforms (e.g., Distech, Honeywell Johnson Controls, Siemens, etc.)
