Building Manager - Property Maintenance

💰 $4,200 - $6,720 (Est.) 📍 Gold Coast ⏰ Part Time 🕐 3 days ago

Job Description

Full job description
Building Manager - Tweed Heads / Southern Gold Coast
Part-time | Opportunity to grow

About the Company

Our client is a well-established and growing property maintenance business servicing residential and commercial strata buildings, holiday lets, and private residences across the Tweed and Southern Gold Coast regions. They provide a full suite of services including cleaning, gardening, caretaking, handyman support, and pool maintenance, with a strong focus on transparency, reliability, and high-quality service.

Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a hands-on, capable Building Manager / Caretaking Coordinator to take ownership of several sites and act as the key on-ground contact.

About the Role

This is a varied, practical role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and responsibility. You will be responsible for the day-to-day presentation, coordination, and basic upkeep of assigned buildings, while acting as the primary liaison between residents, owners corporations, and external trades.

Rather than managing multiple separate contractors, this role consolidates cleaning, light gardening, coordination, and customer interaction into one position, with support provided when required.

Initially, the role will be a minimum of 10 hours per week across two days, with strong potential to increase hours and responsibility over time. Shifts are ideally 6:00 am to 1:00 pm, with some flexibility. Some duties may be performed remotely, and limited on-call availability may be required in the afternoons.

Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Routine cleaning of common areas across residential and commercial buildings
Replenishing consumable supplies
Light gardening and general presentation tasks
Occasional high-pressure cleaning
Identifying, reporting, and following up on maintenance issues and hazards
Acting as the main point of contact for Owners Corporations and residents
Organising, coordinating, and escorting trades on site
Basic oversight and light supervision of one to two staff members, as required
Coordinating fire compliance and scheduled services
Driving between multiple sites within the region
About You

You are practical, reliable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. You take pride in keeping environments clean, safe, and well presented, and you are confident dealing with clients and contractors alike.

Essential qualities and skills:

Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
Clear communication and good interpersonal skills
Consistent, reliable work ethic
Comfort using email and basic Microsoft Office tools
Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport
Full working rights in Australia
Desirable:

Real estate licence in NSW or QLD
Experience in strata, caretaking, facilities, or property management
Handy-person skills such as minor repairs, door or wall fixes, and mounting fixtures
Project coordination or supervisory experience
Remuneration

Paid in line with the Cleaning Services Award [MA000022] – Level 3
Approximately $35.15 per hour, depending on shift times, plus superannuation
What Is Provided

On-site training and support
Access to cleaners, gardeners, handymen, and trades
Tools, resources, and a small discretionary budget
Ongoing support from the company director
