Job Title: Building Services Technician
Job Summary:
The University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking a skilled Building Services Technician to join our team. As a key member of our building services team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. This includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning restrooms, as well as emptying trash and recycling receptacles. You will also be responsible for restocking supplies and performing other duties as assigned.

About the Role:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional service to our students, faculty, and staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean and safe, and that all areas are well-maintained. This includes identifying and reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the facilities management team.

Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors
Sweep, mop, and dust all floors, including carpets, tile, and hardwood
Empty trash and recycling receptacles regularly
Restock supplies, including paper products, soap, and toilet paper
Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities management team

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Additionally, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
