Skillsec is seeking to appoint a new building tutor to join our friendly team.
We are a family owned, community focused educational facility with a huge sense of commitment, accountability, purpose and pride. We provide free education and employment training in Dunedin.
Skillsec are recipients of the 2026 Kuma Māori Business Awards.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is ready to become part of our dynamic teaching team. You will be supporting both youth and adult learners to gain introductory skills and pre-trade levels which includes strong hands-on learning components.
The successful applicant will have:
Relevant, broad knowledge and experience in the building industry
A commitment to delivering quality education and outcomes and a passion and energy for teaching and training others
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Collaborative and constructive team player strengths.
Full and current driver's licence
A reasonable level of IT capability.
A New Zealand Citizen or permanent resident
Applicants will be required to pass a Ministry of Justice Criminal Convictions Check in order to work with young people.
