About the Role Available
We currently have a Fixed Term Carpenter position available and are wanting to start this person Mid-December and working up to a four-month period. However, this may lead to a permanent position for the right person.
This role is Monday to Saturday working 30 hours guaranteed.
Engage in hands-on construction and renovation work as part of our Maintenance & Projects team. The work is diverse and dynamic which ensures no two days are the same. This role will be covering schools in Auckland which means a police vet is required.
Our Ideal Candidate
Has 8 - 10 years building experience
Has their own transport – Full NZ drivers licence
Full kit of tools
Police vetted – clean record
Good understanding of English language
Excellent communication skills
Ability to consult and direct sub-contractors on site
Ability to order and have materials delivered to site
Must think on their feet and outside the box when required
Ability to work and run jobs on their own
Direct and supervise junior staff when required
Ability to use phone apps for work schedules
