Job Description: Seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The role is focused on finishing work including joinery and fire door installation in Wellington!
What you'll be doing
Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements
Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood, drywall, and other building materials to construct walls, floors, roofs, and other structures
Installing various ceiling types in residential and commercial properties
Installing doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures according to design specifications
Repairing and maintaining existing structures, including fixing damaged or worn-out components
Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure seamless project completion
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
Proven experience in ceiling installation and carpentry
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
Strong communication skills.
Valid driver's license
Minimum of 3 years relative carpenter experience. (Qualification not compulsory, but skillset must be to the trade standard of carpentry)
Ability to read, interpret and explain building plans.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and maintain a strong service ethic.
