We understand that balancing work with life isn’t always easy, and we’re happy to consider flexible working arrangements, whether part‑time or full‑time. In this role, you will:
Carry out on‑site condition and compliance inspections across building structures and services
Assess compliance with relevant New Zealand standards and legislation
Capture asset data digitally and produce clear, practical reports that support asset planning
Work with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings and inform maintenance and renewal strategies

Professional registration (such as NZCE, or registration as a plumber or electrician) is advantageous.
You’ll also bring:
5+ years’ experience in building inspection, condition assessment or a similar field
A strong understanding of construction methods, materials and New Zealand building legislation
Experience contributing to maintenance planning and asset investment decision‑making
Confidence preparing technical reports and working with digital asset management tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
A practical, solutions‑focused mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to travel within New Zealand as required
