About the Role:
Being a part of Bullion Desk, the incumbent will be responsible for pricing of Bullion and Forex with customers and suppliers as well Product ownership in Bullion and Physical Foreign Currency Import and Sale.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Bullion and Forex Dealing
• You will be responsible for quoting prices to banks’ customers for bullion and Forex and entering deals from Front Office desk.
• Dealing will include understanding customer requirement, taking quotes from the respective counter parties, placing indents and providing quotes to the customers.
• Successful closure of the pricing deals with customers within reasonable TAT coupled with due diligence and adherence to compliance will be a key parameter in this role.
• You will be also required to coordinate with back office and branches whenever required in accepting and managing indents, stock reconciliation and other adhoc requirements that arise for ensuring best service to the customers.
2) Product – Bullion
• You will be responsible for product ownership in various bullion products. This includes but not limited to Outright sale of precious metals, Gold Metal Loan (GML) and others.
• You are expected to be proficient in the latest regulations and new products available in the market.
• Excellent relationship with bullion customers and deep knowledge of the entire product bouquet including associated regulations will help the candidate excel in this role.
• You will also get opportunities to innovate and work on new products and upgradation of existing products basis latest regulations as well market demands.
• You will work closely with the following stakeholders:-
• Business and treasury sales team for customer acquisition and maintenance of customer relationship
• International suppliers of precious metals for onboarding and placing orders
• Back office teams for processing and smooth service to customers
• Multiple other internal teams including legal, risk, compliance etc. for introducing new products and upgradation of existing products
• Moreover, you are expected to keep an eye out on finding areas for constant process improvements and automation.
3) Product - Physical Foreign Currency Notes Import and Sale
• You will have joint ownership in the newly introduced product of foreign currency notes import and sale to ADIIs and FFMCs pan India.
• Prior experience in this field or prior interactions with ADIIs or FFMCs will be highly valued.
• You will be required to understand and display due diligence on various regulatory and internal guidelines applicable for the products/processes.
• You will play a crucial role in the expansion of this business as per the plan laid out.
• You will also work closely with outside vendor and IT team on setting up systems for streamlining this business.
• It is also important to understand various risks involved in the business like AML risk, Market risk etc. and work out processes to minimize these risks.
• You will be directly engaging with customers to understand market trends and demand and identify opportunities for better product performance,
• You will work closely with similar stakeholders as mentioned under Bullion
