The Port of Seattle Employee Parking and Rental Car Facility (RCF) operations are hiring safety minded drivers who enjoy driving and providing great customer service to employees and passengers. As a Bus Driver, you will safely and efficiently transport SEA Airport employees and passengers to and from airport facilities to the SEA Airport.

• You will operate 40’ passenger buses with automatic transmissions, along a fixed route according to time schedules, while complying with all traffic regulations.

• You will perform routine pre and post trip walk around visual inspections to check for damage to vehicle and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.

• You will report any defects to duty supervisor and file appropriate trip reports using inspection application.

• You will use a radio system to communicate with other drivers, supervisors, and base operations via established radio procedures.

• You will attend training and staff meetings as required.

• You will respond to airport emergencies as needed.

• You may be required to monitor fuel levels and perform fueling in a safe and efficient manner.

• Experienced – You have a valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B with a Passenger (P1) endorsement and a Department of Transportation Health Card.

• Educated – You have a high school diploma or GED.

• Commercial Driver License – Candidate may be disqualified for a conviction or citation of any of the following during the past 5 years:

• More than two (2) moving violations and/or at-fault accidents of any kind

• Speeding over 15mph above the speed limit

• Reckless driving

• Negligent driving

• Driving while under the influence of ******* or other drugs

• License suspended / revoked / cancelled / restricted

• Hit and run

• Vehicular homicide

• Vehicular assault

• Eluding law enforcement

• Leaving the scene of an accident

• CDL Requirement - Will be required to participate in the Port of Seattle Drug and ******* Program as required by the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration. This may include submitting an additional application disclosing 10 years of employment and 3 years of driver history, MVR verification, 3-year drug and ******* reference check, pre-employment drug test, and ongoing participation in a random drug and ******* test program.

• Wage – The entry wage for Employee Parking Bus Drivers is $2+.72 an hour with step increases annually thereafter until reaching the top of the pay range of $36.60 an hour. The wage for the Rental Car Facility Bus Drivers is $27.36 an hour plus a $2.00 premium for baggage handling. Eligible Bus Drivers may receive a 1% safe driving premium based on the terms of the CBA. Selected candidates must be willing to accept either rate of pay, depending on the role for which you are chosen.

• Work Schedule – This is a seven day a week and twenty-four hour a day facility. Normal work schedule will vary. Must be able and willing to work all assigned shifts, including weekends and will be required to work during emergencies.

• Employee Parking – Part-Time/On-Call Bus Drivers do not have a regular schedule but may have an average of 20-hours a week minimum and may be assigned up to 40-hours on any biweekly schedule. The biweekly schedule is posted in advance to ensure drivers have sufficient notice of work schedule.

• Rental Car Facility (RCF) – Relief Bus Drivers do not have a regular schedule and no guarantee of hours. While the hours are not guaranteed except during peak season, relief drivers are scheduled for an average of twenty (20) hours a week.
