Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown in April 2026 will be open new Amber Road Restaurant , European Amber Road dishes from the Mediterranean Sea, through Austria, Poland, to the Baltic Sea. Historic dishes, reminiscent of the foundations of good cooking, childhood, and grandmother's dishes.
ROLE SUMMARY
As a Bus person/Host at Amber Road, you’ll help create a relaxed yet polished dining experience that reflects our commitment to approachable, ingredient-driven food and thoughtful service. You’ll connect with guests through friendly conversation, guide them through the menu, and provide attentive service that feels natural and sincere. You’ll work closely with the team to deliver seamless service, contribute to a positive atmosphere, and ensure every guest leaves feeling cared for and eager to return.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across dining areas, kitchens, and service stations
Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring quality standards are met
Handle food preparation tasks according to safety guidelines and restaurant policies
Support kitchen staff with food handling, prep work, and dishwashing as needed
Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and inventory management
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow during busy periods
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures
Assist with setting up dining areas for events or special occasions
Qualifications
Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is preferred
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Experience in serving or hospitality roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
