This role will work for Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV), who are the primary commercial vehicle distribution centre's for Volvo Trucks and Buses, Mack Trucks and UD Trucks.
What you will do
As a Bus Mechanic, you will focus purely on the Volvo Bus range. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Steering and suspension repairs
Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
Component overhauls
Driveline repairs
Preventative maintenance services and repairs
Offisite and breakdown repairs.
Your future team
This role will be based at our Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) dealership in Prestons. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the greater workshop team is made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Service Advisor's and Costing Clerk's. The Prestons team pride themselves on running a quality and highly efficient operation, in a supportive and good-humoured team environment.

A Heavy Commercial Vehicle mechanical qualification
Proven experience working on buses
Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset.
