About your team / Ko te tima

Business Intelligence team is responsible for providing targeted data insights reports to drive priority strategies and make informed decisions for WorkSafe.

About the role / O te turanga

The Business Analyst's primary role is to provide detailed analysis to support Operations' ongoing and change-related activities. This involves building relationships within the Operations teams and collaborating with other groups across WorkSafe Mahi Haumaru to help deliver strategic outcomes. You will have a solid understanding of information and technical systems, the main focus is on improving business operations, with a key responsibility being the support of the transition to a new operating model.

What You'll Do/ Ko tou ake mahi

This role is responsible for conducting detailed analysis of both business-as-usual and change initiatives, supporting solution design, and facilitating gap analyses. You will play a key role in defining and documenting business requirements for change initiatives and in developing high-quality business models and analyses that support informed decision-making.

What You'll Bring / Ko nga pukenga ou

Demonstrated experience and achievement in an analytical role, using complex information.

Be able to understand and assimilate ideas, analysis and advice from others.

Have experience in facilitating workshops, including the collation and documentation of their outcomes

Power BI and data visualisation skills are essential and T-SQL preferable.

Able to understand health and safety legislation and associated regulations is desirable

This is a fixed term role till end of March 2026

Salary range / Awhe utu

As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $+2,84+ to $122,424, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is around $102,707. Note: KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contribution is additional to/on top of your base salary.
