Are you a recent graduate with a degree in Business, Accounting, or a strong desire to pursue a career in accounting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to start your journey toward becoming a qualified accountant.
In this entry-level Financial Accounting role, you’ll join a FTSE 250 financial services bank as part of our larger Finance team. Over the first 12 months, you’ll develop a solid understanding of fundamental accounting processes, with a focus on accounts and cash reconciliation. Once you’ve mastered these essentials, you’ll progress to more complex reconciliations and responsibilities that will prepare you for advanced financial roles.

What you’ll be doing
• Ensuring the infrastructure, internal Banking system and reporting tools are operated to facilitate efficient running of the PDF Business.
• Support the Relationship Team, the Credit Team and the Bank with necessary MI.
• Assisting the Head of Credit on IRB and related reporting.
• Ensuring PDF is meeting statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ensuring that the PDF risk controls are sufficient and are being operated correctly.
What you’ll bring to the team
• Completing Due Diligence on our loan management system on new Facilities and Facility Amendments.
• Assist with system testing, queries from the Business and raising both bugs and new user stories. Liaison with developers.
• Assist with monthly control testing, Audit (internal and external) and report design.
• Assist with monthly reporting on Operational & Conduct risk
• Assist with identifying, investigating, raising and managing Risk Events and help formulate subsequent action plans.

Working hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch). Hybrid working arrangement currently minimum of Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in Fenchurch Street office.
