Business Development Coordinator (USA – Remote, Chicago / UTC-5 Preferred)

Basic Salary: $60,000-$85,000 + Performance Related Bonus

The Role:

We’re looking for a proactive and creative Business Development Coordinator to support our expanding commercial efforts in the USA.

This is a newly created role reporting to our US-based Innovation Strategy Director. You’ll help power the commercial engine—securing high-value meetings, supporting proposal development, and organizing impactful client-facing events.

This role will rely on a fundamental backbone of new client outreach but will also combine elements of marketing support, and client engagement/events coordination.

What you’ll be doing…

Sales & Lead Development:

Secure qualified meetings with new and existing clients through proactive outreach and coordination.

Partner with Marketing and Leadership on targeted campaigns and lead nurturing.

Ensure CRM and pipeline records are up-to-date, accurate, and insightful.

Proposal & Sales Support:

Collaborate with the Innovation Strategy Director and broader team to prepare proposals that win business.

Manage timelines, assemble inputs, and ensure the polish and impact of each client submission.

Client Engagement & Events:

Coordinate small-scale events (breakfasts, roundtables, webinars) that strengthen client relationships and create momentum.

Support follow-up and engagement activities post-event to drive opportunities.

What experience you'll need:

2–4 years’ experience in a Sales or Business Development Representative role, ideally in a B2B environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.

Proactive and confident working independently in a remote-first environment.

Familiarity with CRM tools and willingness to learn new systems.

Desirable, not essential -

Experience engaging with marketing and/or research or insights professionals.

Prior experiece of targeted outreach to consumer goods (CPG) companies will be a distinct advantage.
