Job Description
As a Business Development Associate, you will play a crucial role in identifying and prospecting potential customers for our organisation. You will be responsible for generating high-quality leads and initiating the first contact with potential clients. This entry-level position is ideal for freshers who are eager to kick-start their careers in sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospect and Identify Leads: Conduct research and market analysis to identify potential customers within the target market. Utilise various sources such as online directories, social media platforms, and industry-specific databases to generate a list of qualified leads.
2. Cold Calling and Emailing: Initiate contact with leads through cold calling and personalised email campaigns. Present the company’s products/services and value proposition to potential clients, with the aim of generating interest and setting up appointments for the sales team.
3. Qualify Leads: Engage in conversations with potential customers to understand their needs, challenges, and buying preferences. Use effective questioning techniques to qualify leads based on their suitability and potential for conversion.
4. Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions, progress, and outcomes using customer relationship management (CRM) software. Continuously update the CRM system with relevant information to ensure seamless collaboration with the sales team.
5. Follow-up and Lead Nurturing: Follow up with prospects to build relationships, answer their queries, and provide additional information about the company’s offerings. Implement lead nurturing strategies to keep potential customers engaged and interested in the company’s products/services.
6. Collaborate with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to share insights, feedback, and qualified leads. Provide regular reports on business development activities, including metrics such as conversion rates, lead quality, and pipeline development.
7. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments. Continuously improve product knowledge and understanding of the target market to enhance business development effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (freshers are encouraged to apply).
• Experience 0-2 Years (freshers are encouraged to apply).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with potential customers.
• Self-motivated and target-oriented.
• Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles.
