The mission of Business Development is to develop the market in ANZ:

Prospect, identify and develop new sales opportunities.
Build a network, develop & maintain strong working relationships with partners, system integrators, end users & consultants in order to detect and influence the opportunities at an early stage.
Act as SPOC for the end customer.

Main Accountabilities

Manage processes for creating quotes, managing sales cycle in CRM, developing and negotiating proposals, and commercial agreements. Likewise, track business opportunities and performance of the sales funnel in addition to providing regular forecasting, market intelligence and competitive analysis to Sales Management , Segment marketing and product management.
Maximize opportunity conversion rate by supporting local partners and customers through the different sales stages, with both commercial and technical advice. Translate the customer needs into Barco winning solutions and offerings.
Work closely together with different teams within the organization like Product management and technical experts in addition to working on multiple projects simultaneously and in an international environment.
Provide guidance to field marketing on best possibilities to reach the communities.
Participate in regular training from Barco HQ and assist and participate in trade shows and events within the region.
Responsible for growing Barco sales and funnel in the targeted country, either by increasing our sales within managed end-user accounts or by end-customer acquisition.
Support Barco new product launch by evangelizing the solution to the managed accounts.
Establish contact and secure demo opportunities with key prospects as well as close deals during on-site visits or industry events.
Follow up on leads generated by Barco campaigns.
Analyze the customers needs and provide the appropriate value proposition in return.
Identify showstoppers to potential opportunities and report back to management for additional support from product team.
Report on weekly visits and funnel management; Keep up-to-date records in the company's CRM system.
Monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence to Sales management, Segment marketing and Product management.

Required competencies

Bachelor or Master degree (business, marketing, engineering) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 – 5 years of proven sales experience in related industry/technology.
Having IT knowledge (networking) will add value to the BDM role.
Strong and assured communicating and presenting skills.
Collaboration skills as there is a clear interaction needed between the different team role eg BDM - consultant account manager - channel manager
Good Hunting skills.
High level sales negotiating skills with outstanding relationship building abilities.
Be bottom-line oriented, budget-conscious and metric/measurement driven.
