Job Description Business Development Manager
BDM is responsible for driving new business; achieving sales targets; ensuring all sales and fulfilment
the process is executed per the agreed time frame, and a sales plan is implemented.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Forecasting and Planning
• Responsible for his/her territory's forecasting and sales tracking
• Increasing market share by developing new customers
• Preparing pipeline of sales accounts
• Taking initiates like promotions, offers and discounts to achieve sales projections
• Ensuring minimum return from stores
Service Orientation -
• Meeting sales target as defined by National Sales Manager
• Negotiating sales prices and discounts in consultation with the Regional Sales Manager
• Following up with prospects for closure of sales
• Addressing customer complaints and fulfilling requirements within time
• Providing after-sales support to the customer
• Ensuring on-time collection from customers
• Monitoring and validating costs and ensuring they are within budget limits for the region
• Visit retail outlets regularly to monitor the implementation of sales and promotional initiatives
• Engaging in ethical behaviour at all times
Reporting -
• Monitoring sales and related data and drawing inferences to propose e future course of action
• Weekly sales report submitted to NSM
• Maintain documentation such as contracts, agreements, TOTs, GRNs, and NRGP with customers
• Provide timely feedback regarding the performance of the dealers and distributors to the NSM
• Preparing and sending collection reports to the National Sales Manager on a periodic basis
