Roles & Responsibilities:
● Identify, pursue, and qualify new business opportunities across air and sea freight forwarding as well as customs clearance for imports and exports.
● Generate leads through cold-calling, email outreach, LinkedIn networking, trade shows, and industry events to build a robust sales pipeline .
● Maintain an organized CRM-based pipeline for lead tracking, accurate forecasting, and consistent follow-up .
● Prepare and deliver customized proposals, RFQs, and presentations showcasing end-to-end freight
forwarding and customs services.
● Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms to close profitable deals and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
● Coordinate closely with operations, customs brokers, and documentation teams to ensure flawless shipment execution and compliance .
● Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory updates (e.g., INCOTERMS, customs protocols), and
competitor activities to shape strategic plans.
● Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, carriers, brokers, and stakeholders to support retention, upselling, and long-term loyalty.
● Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics (leads, conversions, revenue) and market insights to senior management.
● Drive continuous improvement in documentation accuracy, customs clearance procedures, and overall
customer service for enhanced operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
● six –ten years of proven experience in sales or business development within freight forwarding and customs
brokerage.
● Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets in B2B logistics
● Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations, import/export regulations, and customs
compliance (including documentation and INCOTERMS)
● Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with excellent communication,
negotiation, and analytical skills.
