Role Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Account Manager to drive growth and expansion of industrial software and automation solutions across the India region. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, expanding existing accounts, and positioning advanced data, analytics, and automation platforms within asset-intensive industries
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who understands industrial operations and can translate digital transformation concepts into tangible business value for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Account Growth & Revenue Generation
Own and grow a portfolio of industrial and enterprise accounts across key sectors such as energy, utilities, manufacturing, metals, mining, chemicals, ports, and infrastructure.
Drive new business acquisition while expanding wallet share within existing customers.
Manage the full sales lifecycle: lead qualification, discovery, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
Solution Selling & Value Positioning
Position industrial software platforms related to data historians, real-time monitoring, analytics, predictive maintenance, and automation.
Articulate business outcomes such as operational efficiency, asset reliability, sustainability, compliance, and cost optimization.
Work closely with technical and delivery teams to build compelling value-based proposals and ROI-driven business cases.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders, including plant leadership, operations, IT, digital transformation, and management teams.
Build long-term strategic relationships and become a trusted advisor for digital and automation initiatives.
Drive customer satisfaction, renewals, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Market Development
Identify industry trends, customer pain points, and opportunities related to industrial digitalization and automation.
Support regional go-to-market initiatives, events, webinars, and industry forums.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline tracking, and CRM updates.
Required Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of experience in B2B software sales, account management, or solution selling.
Exposure to industrial software, automation systems, data platforms, or enterprise technology is strongly preferred.
Experience selling to asset-intensive industries (power, utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, infrastructure, ports, etc.) is an advantage.
Strong understanding of consultative and value-based selling approaches.
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to understand operational workflows and map software solutions to business challenges.
Commercial acumen with a results-driven mindset.
Comfortable working with technical teams and translating technical concepts into business language.
Self-motivated, structured, and capable of working independently in a fast-growing environment.
Preferred Attributes
Familiarity with automation, industrial IoT, data historians, analytics platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
Experience working with EPCs, system integrators, or industrial solution providers.
Ability to scale accounts and develop regional business strategically rather than purely transactional sales.
