Business Development Manager – Institutional Sales
Location: APAC
Reporting to: Head of APAC Fund & Institutional Sales

Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM), Institutional Sales is responsible for originating, developing, and managing institutional sales activities and relationships across APAC for Corpay Cross Border. The primary focus of the role is to expand the client base for our Institutional risk management solutions, targeting alternative funds, private capital managers, family offices, and institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by researching and targeting key decision-makers within the alternative investment industry, including fund managers and administrators. Attend industry events to build a strong pipeline.
Client Needs Analysis & Solution Pitching: Understand clients’ operational and financial needs and tailor Corpay’s solutions including FX risk management, global payments, multi-currency accounts, and treasury management to address them. Deliver compelling presentations to key stakeholders.
Relationship Management: Develop long-term relationships with C-suite executives, CFOs, portfolio managers, and other key stakeholders to establish Corpay as a strategic partner.
Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closure. Track all sales activities in CRM software and provide regular sales forecasts.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to enhance Corpay’s value proposition.
Operational Responsibilities: Collaborate with onboarding and credit risk management teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
Product Development: Identify opportunities for additional product enhancements and revenue diversification to deepen client engagement within Corpay’s ecosystem.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years in business development or sales, ideally in financial services, with a focus on the alternative investment sector.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of alternative investments, including private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and venture capital.
Sales Expertise: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets with a consultative sales approach and experience in negotiating high-value contracts.
Network & Relationships: Established relationships with key decision-makers (CFOs, COOs, General Partners) in the alternative investment industry.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with financial services products such as FX, fund banking, and cash management solutions.
Self-Starter: Highly motivated with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
