Role Overview
As Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in generating leads and ensuring those leads convert into successful finance applications.
This remote and field-based role combines home working with regular travel to meet partners and clients face-to-face. You will focus on building strong, lasting relationships with estate agents, accountants, property developers, and community organizations to create a consistent pipeline of referrals and direct business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a lead generation strategy to produce consistent, high-quality leads that convert into completed applications.
Build and maintain relationships with estate agents, accountants, property developers, and community groups to generate referrals.
Promote Shariah-compliant home finance, educating partners and clients about the benefits of Home Purchase Plans and Buy-to-Let products.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships to grow the pipeline.
Represent Sunnah Finance at events, workshops, and networking opportunities to raise awareness and drive business.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth progression of client applications from initial inquiry through to completion.
Track performance and activity to meet and exceed lead generation and application conversion targets.
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and changes affecting Islamic home finance.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in business development with a strong focus on lead generation and conversion, ideally within financial services, property, or mortgages.
Knowledge of Home Purchase Plans (HPP), Buy-to-Let (BTL), or Islamic finance is desirable (training provided for the right candidate).
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, especially with accountants, estate agents, and property professionals.
Strong communication and presentation abilities to clearly explain Shariah-compliant products.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently while managing your own pipeline.
Based in or near Manchester, with flexibility to travel across the North West for meetings and events.
A CeMAP or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
