The Company:
Our client designs and manufactures high-end lighting and illumination solutions to various commercial sectors across Australia. They pride themselves at staying at the forefront of global innovation in their market and providing superior customer service. They largely work alongside Architects, Engineers and other professionals who specify their solutions during the design phase of construction projects. As an employer our client has built a highly skilled and passionate team, many of whom have worked for the business for a number of years. They enjoy developing their own talent and have well structured learning and development in place.
The Job:
They currently have a new opening for an enthusiastic and energetic BDR / Internal Sales Representative to join their team. The role will report to the National Sales Manager and work alongside other experienced sales professionals. It’s envisaged that once the successful candidate is familiar with the product range and has honed their sales ability within the sector, that there will be the opportunity to step-up into a Territory Manager level position.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of the products and solutions our client offers
Take responsibility for a portfolio of Architects, Engineers and Contractors
Plan and prioritise sales activities, including managing in-bound leads and enquiries
Build strong relationships and trust by offering a consultative approach
Attend client meetings, initially shadowing others in the team
Support Territory Managers with large scale opportunities
Achieve sales activity KPIs and revenue targets
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven success within a B2B sales environment - 2 + years internal or external
Well developed communication skills and the ability to quickly build relationships
Experience working with product specifiers (Architects & Engineers) would be a big advantage
Ambition to develop a long-term career within the commercial lighting sector
Advanced technology skills with experience maintaining a sales CRM system
A current NSW drivers licence and own vehicle
The ability to work from home in a quiet working environment
You will need to be based in metropolitan Sydney to allow easy travel to meetings
