Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst is a strategic, technically skilled role responsible for designing and implementing the company’s enterprise-wide BI infrastructure. This position plays a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights by developing scalable reporting solutions, integrating data sources, and collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and business leaders. The role supports data-driven decision-making through Power BI dashboards, data modelling, and stakeholder enablement, while ensuring alignment with data governance standards.
What you will be doing:
Designing and Building BI Infrastructure: Architect and implement a scalable business intelligence environment, laying the foundation for enterprise-wide reporting.
Developing Dashboards and Reports: Create and maintain insightful Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards to support financial and operational decision-making.
Collaborating Across Teams: Partner with Finance, IT, and department leaders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Ensuring Data Governance Compliance: Align reporting architecture and data models with data governance standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality.
Delivering Insights and Enabling Stakeholders: Present data-driven insights to leadership and empower stakeholders to use BI tools effectively through training and support.
What we are looking for:
Experience & Education:
5+ years in business intelligence, data analytics, or data architecture
Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in Power BI, SQL (PostgreSQL preferred), DAX, and data modeling
Experience with Azure-based data infrastructure is a strong asset
Ability to build scalable, intuitive dashboards and reporting solutions
Business Acumen:
Background in working with financial data or finance teams
Strong understanding of KPI development and data storytelling
Strategic thinker with a bias for action and curiosity for business operations
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting insights to leadership
Self-Starter & Innovator:
Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a greenfield environment
Capable of establishing BI standards and practices from the ground up
Passionate about enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization
