Job Position : PowerBI Developer
This position is responsible for application and/or system development for our Power BI activities for
the IT Group within a defined scope through a solution's life cycle, including implementation,
ongoing functional enhancements, maintenance, and operational efficiency improvements of the
solution.
Job Description\Key Responsibilities
Develop, design, deploy and maintain Power BI applications, carry out enhancements as and when
required, to meet the information needs of the business users
Data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques, Data transformation, Writing
DAX queries
Strong Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack having Power BI, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS.
Strong database designing and SQL skills. Experienced in RDBMS such as MS SQL Server
Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and other JavaScript libraries.
Must know visualization best practices and efficiently implement those in front-end development
Experienced in data integration through extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data from various
sources.
Works within technical specifications provided to meet development assignments and objectives in a
timely and accurate manner.
Monitors production applications for expected performance and responds to errors and emergency
problems, closes tickets within stipulated time period.
Creating and maintaining technical/functional documentation
Monitor and make recommendations to optimize systems
Recommend enhancements to existing solutions which will increase technical/operational efficiency
of development team and also of the solutions provided.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the technical solutions being supported, new technology
versions, latest trends and techniques
Works independently; receives minimal guidance
Capable and willing to work on other analytics tools if required
Participates actively and accurately in requirements gathering, discussions with stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. This may include providing samples/examples
of various functionality, oversight and work direction to other developers or support staff as needed.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred
Certification in Power BI – preferred.
Candidates having experience in creating, managing, publishing Apps using Premium Server are
preferred.
5-8 years’ relevant experience required
