About the Role
We’re seeking a Developer – Business Intelligence to join our Taupārongo / Technology Foundations team and contribute to data innovation that upholds the mana of Mātauranga Māori.
As our Developer – Business Intelligence, you will design and build data models, ETL pipelines, and interactive dashboards using cloud-based and on-premise technologies, enabling data-informed decision-making across our organisation. Design data models that align with TWoA frameworks and national standards (e.g., TEC, NZQA).
Build and maintain ETL pipelines that integrate data from multiple systems.
Monitor and improve data quality; guide analysts to certify data sets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality BI solutions.
Actively support te reo Māori, tikanga, and the values of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa in your mahi.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer (or equivalent certification).
5+ years’ experience in data analytics and Microsoft technologies.
Expertise in Power BI, SQL, M, DAX, and cloud-based data platforms.
Strong problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
A willingness to learn and uphold Āhuatanga Māori and actively participate in organisational tikanga.
