We are hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to help accelerate our efforts in improving Amazon Fashion. This person will build new business intelligence solutions end-to-end in partnership with our Fashion Tech and Product partners. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with big data sets and have the expertise to utilize these data sets to derive insights, answer business questions, and drive growth.

In addition to leading the design, development, and management of our analytical tools and reporting, we will also look to this person to provide thought leadership and business analysis support as needed. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, experience in developing reporting and analytical infrastructures, strong communication skills, an ability to work effectively with cross functional teams, and an ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.

Key job responsibilities
• Own, design, develop, document, and manage scalable solutions for new and ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, visualizations, and dashboards to support business needs
• Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions that will help us achieve our strategic goals.
• Dive deep to understand frameworks utilized for storing data and different tools and solutions used to access it
• Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
• Design and drive experiments to form actionable recommendations. Present to business leaders in both ad-hoc forums and routine business reviews (MBR/QBR) to drive decisions
• Be able to swiftly prioritize and multi task based on severity level and strong business judgement.
• Incorporate Agentic AI solutions into our processes, improving stakeholder self-service capability, BIE efficiency, and overall quality of service.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of professional or military experience
• 5+ years of SQL experience
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
• Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
• Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
• Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
• Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
