The MAXIMUS Enrollment Broker Project invites aspiring interns with a passion for Health Policy and Statistical/Quantitative Analysis to apply for an enriching internship experience. Join us in supporting the Texas Medicaid and CHIP Enrollment Broker project and gain hands-on experience in crucial areas, including:
• Project Assistance: Collaborate with Texas EB managers on various tasks, including taking meeting notes, documenting processes, and supporting project timelines. Engage with state client representatives at HHSC.
• Legislative Research: Stay updated on Federal and State legislative changes that impact our work. Conduct research on potential scope expansions, analyze other states' implementations, and attend legislative meetings.
• Data Analysis: Work with Operations managers and the Reporting and Operational Research teams on data projects. Analyze current operations, present findings, and gather additional data through surveys.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate on projects to document scope, create timelines, and research best practices. Analyze project data and develop recommendations for stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide data analysis support to project and operations management.
• Perform administrative functions and assist in special projects across departments.
• Tackle moderately challenging assignments and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Contribute to ad-hoc reporting.
Minimum Requirements
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in a related field.
• Completion of at least 2 years of coursework.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
This remote internship offers potential in-person team meetings/events. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Texas during the internship period.

Compensation: Maximus compensation varies based on factors such as job location, education, experience, and performance. The salary for this position starts at $22.00 per hour, aligning with the intern's duties and relevant experience.
